Store employs approximately 215; Kimberly Gardner named general manager

Cracker Barrel Old Country Store® will open a new location on Monday, Aug. 8, at 6 a.m. in Mayfield, Kentucky. The 10,000 square-foot store located at 33 Brien Drive will be open 364 days a year, Sunday through Thursday, 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Friday and Saturday, 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.

With this location, Cracker Barrel brings approximately 215 full and part-time jobs to the area and now operates 36 stores in the state and 640 nationwide.

Kimberly Gardner has been named general manager. Gardner has been a part of the Cracker Barrel family for over 16 years and was most recently the general manager of the Murray, Kentucky Cracker Barrel.

“The Mayfield community has welcomed us with open arms, and we could not be more thankful for their support,” Gardner said. “We are excited to bring them the experience of great food and friendly service each and every day.”

A “Bring Cracker Barrel to Mayfield” Facebook group, which gained nearly 10,000 members in 48 hours, showed the community’s support for Cracker Barrel before the company broke ground on the new location in late January.
