Cracker Barrel Named Top Sit-Down Restaurant for RVers in 2015

Cracker Barrel Old Country Store® was named the Top Sit-Down Restaurant for RVers in MotorHome Magazine’s 2015 Readers' Choice Awards.

MotorHome readers vote every year for their favorite RV products and services ranging from the best place to fuel up to the best campground/resort to the best awning. The top three are always announced per category, with the top winner receiving the Gold medal.

Cracker Barrel Receives Multiple Distinctions From Nation's Restaurant News

Cracker Barrel Old Country Store® was awarded first place in two of Nation’s Restaurant News’ 2015 Consumer Picks Family-Dining Restaurants categories – Menu Variety and Atmosphere.

The fifth annual Consumer Picks survey uses data from 42,000 consumer ratings covering more than 170 restaurant chains to determine how diners feel about the brands they frequent. The survey of consumer preferences covers nine restaurant performance attributes like menu, value, and reputation to determine which brands are most relevant with today’s consumers.

This recognition is confirmation that Cracker Barrel guests truly appreciate the home-away-from-home atmosphere and menu offerings that is so important to Cracker Barrel’s mission statement of pleasing people.

Cracker Barrel Old Country Store® was named a top family-friendly restaurant by FamilyFun magazine in its third annual Travel Awards. Chosen by 2,000 families from across the country, the winners were announced in the magazine’s April 2015 issue.

“Making sure all of our 634 stores are comfortable and family-friendly has been our goal since we opened the first Cracker Barrel® store 45 years ago,” said Chris Ciavarra, senior vice president of marketing for Cracker Barrel. “Our stores are a place for connection and family bonding. We see families spending quality time and engaged in real conversations. Plus, our décor offers parents a great opportunity to teach their children about history and heritage.”

The Casual Restaurants category was new to the Travel Awards this year. FamilyFun surveyed families traveling with kids ages 3 to 12 and asked them to vote for family-friendly restaurants with dinner service and a kid-friendly menu selection. Cracker Barrel ranked number four on the top ten list.

“The Travel Awards are such a unique program because we rely on real families to vote on their favorite destinations,” said Ann Hallock, Editor-in-chief of FamilyFun magazine.

Cracker Barrel Old Country Store® (NASDAQ: CBRL) has once again received industry accolades being named a Chain Restaurant Consumers’ Choice Award winner for 2015. Based on an analysis of consumer ratings in five key areas of more than 120 restaurant chains, Cracker Barrel was voted a winner in the full service restaurant category for its pleasant and friendly service.

Technomic Inc. asked consumers to rate leading restaurant chains on 60+ different attributes. The attributes capture the consumer experience from every angle, from the quality of the food to the overall brand reputation. The ongoing study records more than 80,000 consumer visits annually.

Nation’s Restaurant News has selected Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, Inc. president and chief executive officer Sandra Cochran as one of five top executives from some of the most successful foodservice brands in the world as the 2014 class of Golden Chain Award winners.

The Golden Chain Awards celebrate restaurant executives for outstanding leadership, strong company performance and careers dominated by success.

The winners were honored during the Multi-Unit Foodservice Operators (MUFSO) Conference in Dallas, Oct. 5-7, 2014.

Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, Inc. (NASDAQ: CBRL) is among America’s 100 Most Trustworthy Companies, according to a survey published in FORBES magazine.

The annual “America’s 100 Most Trustworthy Companies” report lists Cracker Barrel as the No. 11 Mid Cap company across all industries. The survey measures various attributes related to financial performance and recognizes the 100 highest scores for trustworthy behavior.
