How many Cracker Barrel Old Country Store locations are there?

What are your store hours of operation?
Every Cracker Barrel Old Country Store location is open Sunday through Thursday 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., and Friday and Saturday 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. 

Does Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, Inc., franchise its stores?
All Cracker Barrel Old Country Store locations are company-owned and operated. We do not franchise any of these stores.

At the present time, we do not offer a mail order catalog for Country Store purchases. To purchase additional items not for sale in our Online Store, visit the Cracker Barrel Old Country Store location nearest you.  Please visit our Store Directory page for a list of store locations.   

How does the Cracker Barrel "Books-on-Audio" program work?
Purchase a Books-on-Audio title at full retail price at any of our 588 locations, listen to it, and return it to any of our locations for a full credit less a $3.49 per week exchange fee (plus tax where applicable). Book prices range from $9.99 to $48.00 (plus tax where applicable) based on number of cassette tapes or CDs (or size of the book). 

What is Cracker Barrel's standard bread service? 
At Cracker Barrel Old Country Store we want to make sure guests get the hottest, freshest biscuits and corn muffins we can serve up.  And we want to make sure we serve them to guests who want bread instead of wasting it by serving bread to folks who don't really have any interest in the biscuits or corn muffins.  As a result, we ask our guests what type of bread they want - biscuits or corn muffins, and we serve the bread with our guests' meals. As competitive as our business has become, every chance to reduce waste helps hold prices down.

However, disappointing our guests when they don't get something that they expect hurts more than it helps. We have instructed our servers to provide bread to any guest that mentions they want their bread before their meal. If you do have a preference of having your bread before your meal, just let your server know! Fresh, hot biscuits and corn muffins will be right out to you!

Cracker Barrel certainly understands the health-conscious concerns that some of our guests have. While we are unable to give you any exact calorie or fat content information, the following choices may help you in your selection:

• Turkey sausage is offered as an alternative to regular sausage. 
• Entree salads are available on the menu.
• Grilled Chicken and Grilled Fish are available as meat selections for Country Dinner Plates. 
• Promise® spread is available as an alternative to butter.  
• Egg Beaters® are available on the breakfast menu and can be substituted on any breakfast at no additional charge. 
• Oatmeal is available on the menu.  
• Apple Bran Muffins are available as a bread choice.  
• Decaffeinated Hot Tea and Coffee are available as additional beverages.  
• Fresh Bananas and Raisins are available.  
• Low Fat Milk and Skim Milk are available.  
• Our orange juice, grapefruit juice, and apple cider are all pure, with no additives or added sugars.  
• Special K, Wheaties, and Cheerios are included in our dry cereal offering.  
• Fat Free Thousand Island, Fat Free Ranch, Fat Free Honey Mustard, and Fat Free Italian dressings are available. 
• Sweet & Low, Splenda and Equal are available on each table.  
• Low Calorie Fruit Spread is available.  
• Sugar Free Syrup is available.  
• Diet Root Beer as well as Diet Coke are available.  
• Boiled Chicken Tenders are not printed on the menu, but are available upon request.  
• No Sugar Added Apple Pie and No Sugar Added Vanilla Ice Cream are available.  
• We use 100% Cholesterol Free Soybean Oil for frying.

We do not add MSG at the store, and we ask that our vendors not use MSG in the preparation of our foods. In any case, it is important to understand that MSG is naturally occurring in some foods.

Are recipes available for the items on your menu? 
Grandma never gave away her prize recipes, and neither do we! But we do appreciate your interest. 

Does Cracker Barrel issue discount coupons to individuals or groups? Are senior citizen discounts available?
In an effort to provide food and merchandise of the highest quality and value for the money to everyone, Cracker Barrel Old Country Store does not offer discounts or coupons.

How do I submit a product for retail consideration?

Our retail stores sell a unique assortment of food, candy, shirts, stationery, books, souvenirs, home décor and collectibles along with gift items with a nostalgic look.

Our assortment includes items made of wood, pottery, fabric, resin and other materials. We've also been successful with tees and sweatshirts, pottery and ceramics, puzzles, novelties, nostalgic housewares, toys, seasonal holiday and garden items.

We have the ability to buy for distribution on a regional or local basis, as well as for all our stores. All retail items are purchased outright from the supplier. We cannot participate in consignment arrangements.

Our customer base is made up of both travelers and local residents. Since customers come to our store primarily to eat, purchases in the retail stores are made mostly upon impulse.
