Executive Bios

Mike Woodhouse has over 25 years of experience as an officer in the restaurant and retail industries. Mike is responsible for the strategic direction of the Group and its wholly-owned subsidiary, Cracker Barrel Old Country Store®. 

Mike joined the organization as Senior Vice President of Finance and CFO for Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, Inc. in 1995 and has assumed positions of increasing responsibility over the years.  He was promoted to President and Chief Operating Officer of CBRL Group, Inc. and COO of Cracker Barrel in August 1999. He was elected to the positions of President and Chief Executive Officer of CBRL Group, Inc. and CEO of Cracker Barrel in August 2001. Mike was selected by the CBRL Group Board of Directors to be Chairman in September 2004. In July 2006, Mike added the position of President of Cracker Barrel Old Country Store® to his responsibilities. 

Before coming to Cracker Barrel, Mike was employed with DAKA International from 1993 to 1995 where he was Senior Vice President and CFO.  He has held several other positions in the restaurant industry since 1981 including Executive Vice President and CFO of S&A Restaurant Corporation and Executive Vice President and CFO of TGI Friday’s, Inc. 

Mike graduated from Queens’ College in Cambridge, England, where he majored in physics and earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Natural Sciences.
