On August 12th, 1939, Wizard of Oz first premiered at the Strand Theater in the small Midwest town of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. Ironically, the beginning of August brings the end of the tornado season in the Midwest.

August the 15th marked the official Hollywood premiere of the classic film and soon it was opening all over the country. In honor of the anniversary of Wizard of Oz’s premiere, we’ve put together a bit of trivia from the other side of the rainbow.
